Garbed

Brandt’s wearing clothes now!  Up until yesterday, he just wore a diaper.  His fancy-schmancy isolette took feedback from his temperature probe and adjusted his crib heat accordingly.  Now Brandt’s temperature probe has been removed and he’s learning to maintain his own body heat.  That means clothes and swaddling.  Here’s Brandt in his first shirt (NICU-provided, so I didn’t pick it out, but I’m a fan of the orange stitching; I’m a fan of the blond sleepy-head, too):

    Oh My cuteness!

I think I recognize the wrinkles on the forehead. We are so happy that we are going to send Uncle Mark north in a week. This grandparenting thing is almost as spiffy (not cool!) as being a parent. The part of the 1000 in prayer from Austin are continuing to pray for Brandt’s growth and for Brandt’s parents.

  3. This was Tali’s first shirt, too!!! It was big on her…can’t imagine how big it must be on Brandt.

Oh I’ve got tears in my eyes reading his story and watching him be healed by a loving God. I can’t imagine the dramatic life the Lord had chosen for him that needed to have such a dramatic beginning! maybe you’ve got a prophet on your hands. 🙂
