HSG Tomorrow

Just a quick update – I’m having an HSG done Thursday morning at 10 a.m. It was scheduled at the last minute after a consultation with the new doc today (I’ll write more about that tomorrow). I expect everything to be fine, since previous saline sonograms were, but the doctor did say that the HSG is a more painful and invasive procedure. Please pray that all goes well!

Hi, I’ll definately say a prayer for you. I will say that while my HSG wasn’t fun, it wasn’t as painful as I’d heard. I forgot to take the ibuprofin that they suggested for me to take, and it still wasn’t excruciating. And it was over in about 10 minutes. Ver quick. Good luck! At least you’ll know if there’s a problem in the tubes anywhere. I was able to turn my head around and see the tubes and other things on the xray too, which was kind of neat.

I’ll pray for that. Definitely load up on the motrin before you go. I’ll tell you about my HSG if you’ll fill me in on the saline sono! I’m supposed to have one of those soon and I’m really petrified about it.

You are in my prayers. My HSG wasn’t too bad, the screen was a distraction. My husband was allowed in there too so he held my hand. The nurse was great too. Afterwards was more uncomfy than during. A little crampy. Praying for great results and that you have an easy time with it.

I”m not sure if it’s too late or not but make sure you take pain reliever like advil or aleve before your procedure.

Hope it went well! I didn’t have any pain when I had mine. Just menstrual-like cramps for a little while. Taking ibuprofen beforehand helped greatly.

Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate prayers.
